(Because the idea of that Arthur/Lancelot/birth-of-democracy as we know it-movie that’s in the works does nothing for me.) * One that is All About Nimueh * One about Elaine of Corbenic, where she’s neither pathetic or evil, and where her relationship to Lancelot is portrayed as screwed up and messy and complicated and loving and real. *A Merlin-ized version of the Grail-guest. (By which I don’t mean a Merlin spin-off, I mean something that is low on religion and is high on pretty people, CGI monsters of the week and general silliness.) With Galahad as the Chosen One, Perceval as the Woobie and Dindrane and Bors fighting over the spot as Hermione Granger-ish know-it-all. * A no holds barred Guinevere/Lancelot romance where they don’t meet until after she’s already queen. And preferably where she’s older than him, and where Arthur neither is a saint of a villain, and G&L aren’t necessarily 100% sympathetic either. *The adventures of Sir Gawain and his two hundred and eleventy previously unknown relatives.
